The museum gift shop carries a variety of gifts including books, mugs, pens, postcards, plates, plaques, posters, etc. The gift shop also carries a 655-page book concerning the history of the township of Hope, North Dakota. The book is available for $10.00. Lewis and Clark novelties available.
However, our most popular articles are colorful and sturdy rag rugs hand woven of recycled material by the staff and volunteers of the Steele County Museum and Cultural Center. The weaving program is helping to preserve this local art form through weaving demonstrations and workshops. The pictures below are from a weaving workshop exclusively held for children. All proceeds from the rug sales are used for the operation of the museum/cultural center. Special orders are welcome.
If you wish to order any items from the Museum Gift Shop, please feel free to contact us.
